I challenge you, but you have to read it to see if you can do it.
I started blogging not too long ago, but not exactly yesterday, so I know some things, but try to be safe and say….on going learner in practice because I learn so much from all of you. I know some of us may not be close, so my question might be considered personal, but I’m going to ask it away. Do you think SL blogs are on there way out? Do you read them? Or have you navigated over to Flickr and given up your blogosphere?
I have lots of questions as you can see. I like to be a paradox, so bear with me. As a consumer, Flickr is nice. You see. You click. You sometimes fave (or perhaps cringe–NSFW pics do that, especially when not prepared). You even comment. It seems so easy. So, can someone tell me why I should blog too? Most of the amazing blogging community houses their pictures on Flickr, and most of the creators do the same. AND some creators even acknowledge they don’t look at blogs anymore (source plurk). Then, there is this new obstacle to become a blogger for an event or a creator: how many flickr favs can you garnish in 24 hours.
I am not really sure how I feel about it. So, I leave it in your hands. There is no survey. There is no multiple choice quiz. You just have to comment. Show your influence. If I get no comments, then why in the world would I use this space. I get more comments on Flickr. But, if you think blogs have a place still, sound off. Tell me. Show me. Do you buy things you find on blogs? Do you visit stores you find on blogs? Are blogs relevant? As someone who recently undertook managing a brand, I understand the need to be everywhere. It is hard to make a name for yourself, but does it matter if nobody is there? I am knocking folks. Will you answer?

Collabor88 has some really cute housing items for all my decor aficionado out there who love to change up their homes I am personally quite attached to desks…some people like to collect homes, I am a desk collector. Standby’s Huckleberry desk [not sure if it is named after the book but a desk named after a book is practically perfect in every possible way] really just made me do the oooo and ahhhhh. I love how it is packaged too. If you get the fatpack, all items come separately, but also linked together. This is perfect. As a blogger, I just want to say thank you. The shelf compliments this desk and was no-brainer purchase. I am always looking for items to put up on my walls other than prints. Both items are beyond realistic and expertly crafted. I also enjoyed the Mudhoney furniture set for its versatility. It comes in sections with makes room arrangement a creative palette of fun.
Everyone needs some items that add personality. The little mason jars with a notepad, and the books on top of the scale from Sari-Sari really do make a house a home.
I also bought some clothes at Collabor88 [suprise]. I would have to say Auxiliary’s sweater at Collabor88 is quite possibly my favorite piece of clothing in my inventory right now. It fits perfectly and the texturing and detail send this piece over the top. It gets marked in my “you must buy it” category for sure. The leather pants from House of Fox worked well with my top and have enough detail to be interesting and real without a bunch of zippers and embellishments to make it less functional, making it a perfect buy to wear again and again. The pants give you so many outfit options. I really like the clean structured fit.
To stand out from the crowd, I recommend the small and delicate nose bridge and septum ring from Stories & Co at Collabor88. I haven’t taken this piece off yet, and it just may never come off.

What better way to say hello to summer than some truly fun in the sun items available at The Garden-Sandbridge. I’m ashamed it took me so long to post these, but I kept playing with all the cool stuff. I floated around in my floatie, I laid around in the sun on my sun blanket, and I kept very calm in my cute beach chair. The beach set by Pixel Mode has some of my most favorite poses for both couples and singles. The animation are so darling. What I really like about The Garden-Sandbridge is the location of the event itself. All items are out and easily in view so you truly get the beach vibe while shopping. Another item that really caught my attention was the lifeguard tower made by Breno. It is the perfect place to curl up as the sun sets and sip on some wine, which is conveniently included with your purchase of the tower.

Have you ever been so excited by an idea…you forgot to turn your graphics up? Enter this pic. I forgot to turn up my graphics, so I had to redraw most of the freakin details. I didn’t notice until I zoomed in…and honestly…you probably wouldn’t have noticed either, but I knew random eyeballs weren’t rezzed, so I just couldn’t leave it…and I didn’t want to start from scratch, so I’m sorry. Weeping. Hold on. (you can see a bigger version on flickr…just click the picture)
Okay back. This picture was just shot on black. I added the background stuff (if you know anything about photoshop that statement seemed obvious). I hate…capitalize…clap with me H.A.T.E cutting things out and trying to place them on a background. Why? Don’t give me that evil stare. I am just not good at it AND it takes forever. Heck, I don’t even know how to use the burn and make me glow brush correctly. Hmph.
So on to what matters. My stuff. I have a whole bunch of stuff. I am stalling. I don’t want to list it or talk about it anymore. Me and my stuff are not talking. We are in an argument.
Okay, fine. Stuff. My hair is from the event Numberology. I am going to start there. It is darn cute, and by Mina. I t has a barret too, but I opted out of that arrangement (the colors in the hud didn’t match my dress). I liked the poof at the back. The dress is from Dolle at the the Funny Puppet fair. I wore it without the jacket. It was an odd pose and the jacket was arguing with the pose…it was horrible, so I just went without it. There was also something missing from the the edges of the jacket. It was nice…just something was off. The rest of the stuff, well it is from The Arcade. I’m not going to introduce you all. You will have to meet them for yourself. I would like to say that KatatOnik’s necklace inspired this photo. It was the one RARE I wanted out of the whole bunch…and I got it…on the first try, so I bought a couple more just to say thanks for creating something I loved. Thank you Arcade for another wonderful fun time. Til we meet again.

Me, as I unpack my Arcade stuff…I just snapped a quick picture using DOF with my wand and footie pajamas. Um, if I had all the money in the world, I would still be at The Arcade trying to collect every single wand and jammie out there:
So, as I started to unpack, I realized I had tons of stuff. I just cleaned out my inventory a couple weeks ago, and this gacha thing made a serious mess. But, I had so much fun in the process that I didn’t care. I don’t think I got one thing that I set out to get, but it didn’t matter, and I ended up loving the items I did get. In a few months time I won’t remember any of that, but I will remember how The Arcade made me feel like a kid again.
