Azuchi has a beautiful suit ready for you at Uber tonight! The suit pieces include a jacket, turtleneck, and pants; all pieces can be worn separately. The suit is fitmesh, so you can use sliders to achieve a silhouette you prefer. Please make sure to demo! You can see what else is coming to uber here. I am so excited!
Azuchi’s latest release, “Amanda,” is available at Enchantment. It is two separate pieces: a top tunic dress and an underskirt. Both pieces can be worn separately. Also don’t forget about We <3 RP. It is a discount event, so get items on sale! I am wearing Cellar Door’s Raven necklace! By the way, I made a mistake for this picture. I took it, then forgot to write down/save the outfit. My apologies for some vague credits. My inventory is a disaster area currently.
You can find Azuchi’s Archer release at We <3 RP. The release includes a shirt, vest, pants, belt, and cape. Each of these items are sold separately. Get tons of items at a discount! Remember items are full price after the event.

A friendly reminder to stop by WE <3 RP as it winds down for October. Remember items here are only at a discount at the event, so you want to scoot on down to pick up this darling outfit by Moon Elixir while it is on sale!
This round of Uber deviates from the typical cadaverous demons of October and let’s us sink into a snug spot by the fire with the theme of Pumpkin Spice. Azuchi released a leather jacket, Fallen, to bring in the leaves of autumn. You can also get it in the pumpkin spice color, a special for the theme of the event. The design stitched into the very jacket, such as quilting on the shoulders, adds a realistic element and the taut leather fabric will hug the curves of your Slink, Belleza, and Maitreya bodies.
Vinyl’s Crowe leggings, at Liaison Collaborative, really paired nicely with this look. I loved the beaded stings that dangled from each side. It added an element of surprise to the leggings.

I stopped by Kustom 9 about a week ago to do my regular stress relief of window shopping. Sometimes I buy and sometimes I don’t depending my mood. I locked eyes with this cozy sweater from Tetra as I entered the doorway of Kustom9. I could have sworn the sweater glimmered at my unwavering attention. Trying to doubt what I already knew deep down in my gut, I lingered the other direction mulling over the other choices. Again, my eyes found the sweater. I was going to demo. You might be thinking a sweater is a sweater, but I happen to find the neckline of this cotton garment quite appealing, exposing that delicate collarbone and leaving a canvas for a beautiful necklace. I had to have it. If you are interested in a similar experience, I would stop by kustom9 to see if the Tetra Loose Knit Sweater starts flirting with you too.
My happiness was brought to you by LOGO Alex Mesh Head and Izzie’s LOGO appliers. I was quite impressed with this duo, and the expressions really add some emotion to pictures. My mesh head folder keeps growing!

“Love … I put so much faith in it. Truth … I kept believing it falls always from the lips of the one you love and trust the most. Faith … it’s all bound up to love and trust. Where does one end and the other start, and how do you tell when love is the blindest of all?”
― V.C. Andrews, Flowers in the Attic
Shiny Shabby is back for October. You can see the gallery over at Seraphim of all beautiful items to preshop. Zenith released an ornate dress that falls just above the ankles at Shiny Shabby that immediately grabbed my attention. The Vintage Corset dress is offered in standard sizing. I decided to rock the Just Design Friday heels (socks included) with the dress. Just Design fits their shoes to Belleza, Slink, and Maitreya feet–since I change my body daily it is nice to have such a myriad of options. These shoes are available at the Pastel Goth Event. Glam Affair also released new head appliers for the LeLutka mesh heads in celebration of the new added expressions to Lelutka’s mesh heads. I chose to mix and match Eline and Laura. Make sure to look for an update or revisit their delivery system in store. You can pick up your new Glam Affair appliers while you do so!
For those that do not know, I did update my earlier post about Maitreya to reflect their response. I am not sure how or why so many people close to the situation were confused. I know that designers were in a panic, no notice stated why weights were not included in these specific kits, and no one was responding to inquiries from Maitreya to resolve the situation. Maitreya’s statement makes it clear that these issues were isolated. I will let time tell the rest of this story and look forward to Maitreya supporting other content creators.
Slink has released a curvier version of her mesh body. Since I collect mesh bodies as a side hobby, I am sure this one will be added to my inventory as well. With the success of mesh bodies, I can only see more and more bodies on the horizon

I needed a relaxing outfit for today, and Paper Arrow has the perfect items to do so! Paper Arrow supports Belleza Isis and Freya, Slink Physique, and they also offer a Maitreya Beta. You can pick up your halloween orange joggers once you join their VIP group.
[Update 10/21: I had several creators give me the information that the new policy was to send out bodies and not weights. It wasn’t a wild assumption. They sent emails and provided their dialogue. I had other creators, who have full kits, support the conclusion that Maitreya changed their policy to only include the body and no weights. That view has currently changed via the policy written on Maitreya site. My only conclusion is that either Maitreya changed their stance or they didn’t clearly communicate with creators in their process. Maybe there is some other reason why this confusion happened. Either way, I am glad to hear that creators may have a chance to get a full kit. Maitreya does acknowledge in their process that they do not give the kit to everyone. The process to gain Maitreya kits is selective and takes a while, and some may never get the full kit. While my post may have been an “overstatement,” I am beyond happy that consumers understand that clothing creators want to provide Maitreya fitted clothing, but in some aspects their hands are tied, so they either try their best to present to the consumer a “Beta” version or because of the process no version. I have heard that some standard sizing does fit the Maitreya body, and some commented to shop for what you like rather than what signs are on a product because with alpha cuts it may work (demo, demo, demo all the things!). One last note brought up by a commenter below is when you buy a mesh body, you buy it “as is” and you can’t expect content to be made for that product. With new mesh bodies being made and distributed often today, the consumer needs to know that when they purchase a product, they can’t let expectations from previous purchases persuade their thinking. All creators manage, distribute, and deal with their products differently. ]
I see things in shades of grey. I always have. When people ask me to choose a side, I get very uncomfortable. That is how I feel currently as a blogger and girlfriend to a creator.
The mesh body business is lucrative. I have no doubt the bodies make an obscene amount of money, and on the sidelines, I have heard numbers tossed around. They are making money probably as I type. Numerous amounts of mesh bodies hug the curves of the default body throughout the SL world, allowing most to enjoy a certain body type. If you decide to go into this mesh body business, you usually understand your product needs clothes, therefore, you have to give out a developer kit to clothing creators. Slink does this, Belleza does this, and most do. The theory is that the more creators with a kit to your mesh body, the more people will buy your body. However, one brand of body, Maitreya, has a more selective process, allowing only certain clothing brands to have the proper tools to create the clothes that everyone wants.
First, I want you to know I come to you as a Maitreya Lara owner and a Maitreya shopper. I have supported the brand, and I, like many Maitreya shoppers, leaped through the air when they announced a mesh body. Hordes of fitted clothing clinging my new Maitreya Lara body flashed before my eyes. At events, I saw “Maitreya Beta” and “Maitreya experimental,” and I grabbed them up, hoping for a fit that would work on my shape and the alphas provided. There were issues with these pieces. I overlooked them. Most creators didn’t have the kit and were just trying to “eyeball” the best the could. I will be honest. I had NO idea what that meant. I thought you pushed some meshes around and voila it fits. I just thought that at some point all creators would have the tools necessary to create clothes.
I bought the body because I thought creators would have the tools to make clothes. The body, released Dec 2014, is now coming up on its 1st birthday and creators still DO NOT have this kit. Alarmingly, now people are not provided the proper tools once they get the kits. Most kits will come with the body files and “weights.” The weights are CRUCIAL to the fit of the item. They allow the clothes all of us wear to move with the body. They allow for clothes to have that snug fit we all adore.
Maitreya has knowingly decided to OMIT this CRUCIAL tool from their developer’s kit. Maitreya needed the SL default “weights” to create their own body (which are free and available to everyone). Without the SL weights, Maitreya wouldn’t have such a perfect product of their own. I will ignore the fact that some creators have had to scan REAL LIFE identification cards in order to obtain the kit.
I understand that Maitreya has created a stellar body. I get it. I get that others feel that Maitreya CAN monopolize Second Life. I just don’t understand WHY they feel the need to create divides between creators, bloggers, and shoppers. For a brand that joined the “Undivided” team, I am left with questions because they have left many creators feeling like second class citizens. Why not provide these designers the tools they need?
Most say this is a futile effort. That Maitreya has the power, and they can do as they wish. I hope that isn’t the case. I want more than one style of lingerie from Erratic. I want choices. I don’t want everything to come from the same 15 designers that have been selected. In a world where there should be sharing and learning and support, I hope that Maitreya doesn’t spread the cement that DIVIDES us all. If they are, in fact, their motto, I hope they see clothing creators as a chance to spread the “Undivided” logo.
I would like to say that I have heard nothing but positive comments about Onyx, the creator behind Maitreya, and I have heard something happened that prevents most to get full developer’s kits. I can only hope they change their policy and views so that the shoppers, their source of income, have the best experience possible.
I am left at a loss. I do love my Maitreya body, but I also know the stress and financial burden it has placed on numerous clothing creators who feel that having the tools to create awesome clothes is permitted to a few. I am disappointed in spending and choosing to fully support a product that had not fulfilled the promises they made to all designers and shoppers.
Any creator should have the tools they need to create, and I silently shake my head in despair with you. #rureallyundivided.
If your clothes don’t fit, ask Maitreya. They are the ones who don’t want you to have clothes. I am just here to report it. Maitreya is not giving out the tools for creators to do their job. End story. You can cry now.
I don’t know. Maybe this only bothers me because I hear about it more. Does it bother you that the dev kit for Maitreya is basically the ULTRA RARE? Should clothing creators jump through so many hoops to provide content? Did I miss something you think I should have included?
